Trying to restore an old Belsaw Planer. Have not yet purchased a motor. Trying to figure it out. Mine has gears on the right, not sprockets and chains. If I could ask some questions? When you pull up on the lower handle (rod),is the only purpose to stop the feed rollers? That's all I can see that happens. Also, you have to keep holding the handle up to disengage. Is there a lock? Also, have some questions about motors and pullys.Earl
